We are building a fictional world for a game called ExpenseRPG.

This world is a parody of other science fiction franchises. The setting lampoons Star Trek, Star Wars, Babylon 5, and the Expanse. Events from the world's history are a mash up of the collective works of Issac Asimov, Robert Heinlein, Arthur C. Clarke, Ursula LeGuinn, Philip K. Dick, Arthur Conan Doyle, H.G. Wells, H.P. Lovecraft, and Douglas Adams.

This world takes place in an alternate timeline which split centuries before our own. Humanity discovered radiation before the industrial revolution. A fascination of the Occult developed alongside of Quantum Mechanics to produce a cosmology known as Chromodynamics. The use a mix of magic and technology known as Tegic.

The great war destroyed civilization. The war was ended by a supernatural being known as "Mel". He intervened, through his celestial emissaries, to end the fighting and serve humanity it's eviction notice.  Throughout the last century, humanity has been evacuated from to surface of the Earth and settled across the Solar System.
